I Think the Washer Must Have Eaten Them – Unclutter Your Life and Business – Day 7
Posted on 22. Jun, 2010 by Samantha Gardner in Unclutter Your Life, Week 2
Have you ever reached into you sock/underwear/dedicates drawer and come up with one sock but the other is nowhere to be found? There are days I truly believe that my washer must eat things.
Today is going to be simple and something that you will notice everyday! Let’s tackle your undergarment drawer(s). (If you have a family like me – you may have more than one to go through.)
Step 1 – Empty it Out
Take Everything Out of the Drawer(s) and put in on the bed or floor. It much easier to only put back in what you want and need than to try to sort through it all together.
Step 2 - Underwear, Bras and Related Items
Put back in the drawer underwear and bras that you wear. Toss out all of underwear or bras with holes, too small, too big, never fit right or so uncomfortable that you will never where them again.
Step 3 – Socks
Only put back in the drawer socks that are in good conditions. No holes or socks without matches.
Put all good condition socks without matches in a pile outside of the drawer. Over the next week once you get through all the laundry – try to match all the socks up. By next Tuesday – all socks without matches become garbage – deal? Don’t shove them back in the drawer. (FYI – I will remind you next Tuesday).
Step 4 – Repeat
Repeat this process for each member of the family you are in charge of. Make quick decisions and move it.
Simple right.
