Review of “How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life” by Alan Lakein

Though this book was written in the 70s and reissued in the late 80s – I find to be a short, easy read with a lot of good sound advice to keep you from pulling you hair out. I see it as a classic reference.
Yes, some of the information is dates. Yes, it does not apply directly to the two-career families that so many of us struggle with everyday. However, even the dated examples do not take the main points away from what Lakein was trying to express.
“How to Get Control of Your Time and Your Life” does provide some simple and proven processes for managing your life not just your business. I have personally even given several copies of the book away over the past few years.
For a quick read on life balance, check it out.
