Setting Goals and Objectives and Making Your Plan – Day 1 – Where are You Today and Where Do You Want to Go?

Before moving forward with setting goals and objectives, we need to develop a roadmap that you can draw and follow. (Note: that detours and construction areas are part of life.)
To develop this roadmap, we need to look at where you are today? Can’t leave on a trip until you know where you are leaving from. I have also created a Setting Goals and Objectives – Day 1 PDF for you to download, print and use for the following quick 5 Steps.
Step 1. To do this, you must be honest with yourself and really take a hard look. Be quick and be brutal. Some examples could be: Your Business or Career, Your Health, Your Marriage, Your Family and Friends, Your Fun and Your Spirituality.
To get more ideas or to do quickly online, you can use the Wheel of Life and rapidly get an overview.
Step 2. Take a quick snapshot of your life today in all areas and rate them from 1 (Low) to 10 (Outstanding).
Step 3. Then write down one short sentence or phrase describing the state of that category today.
Step 4. Now for each category you have, write down one short sentence of what you envision or desire it to be like. Make it clear. Go big and don’t be afraid to have forward vision. Most people have motivation and the intelligence to figure it all out but just don’t vision to enable them to move forward.
Step 5. For each category write down one or two strong reasons you for you to make your vision become reality. Why is important to you or your family? Who do you want to help or impact?
That Completes Task One for Setting Goals and Objectives and Making Your Plan.
