Is Your Pet Suffering because of You? Unclutter Your Life and Business – Day 4
Posted on 17. Jun, 2010 by Samantha Gardner in Unclutter Your Life, Week 1
Unclutter your life does not mean you have to give everything up. (Skip to the PS if you don’t own a pet.)
I love our pets. Lexi, our dog, spends most days hanging out in the office while I work or following me or my son around all day long. (She is almost one.)
My cat, Lizzy, I have had for over 10 years now – before my husband even came into my life. I love them to pieces – but they are a lot of work.
Sometime I think my son (almost 4) is now easier to take care of than the dog. And they have stuff too. They need attention and love – and all they can do is bark or meow (some are even silent).
Today, let take 10-15 minutes to sort out and get organized so you can care from them better without guilt.
- With a garbage bag in hand – throw out any old toys they never play with or anything that is beyond saving.
- Everything that can be washed including bedding throw in the washer and turn on.
- Organize the food into one area that works for you.
- Clean out there brushes.
- Final step – go to your calendar that you use (computer or paper) and write down a reminder for the next 6 months of the day to give your pets their medicines such as heart worm or flea protection once a month. I have found personally that a scheduled email reminder works best.
