Unclutter Your Life and Business – Day 1 – Passwords, Logins and Domains Oh My!
Are your most important passwords and access codes stick noted to your computer? In plain sight? Or lost somewhere under the clutter of your desk?
Maybe you don’t have them recorded anywhere. Do you have to request a new password be sent you your inbox each and every time you need to enter the site?
If so, don’t feel bad – it is quite common.
Let take a few minutes now to re-do your system. Making it something that works for you, is a quick reference and safe you’re your delicate private information
Option 1 - Many people have found that a simple notebook where they record the information to be the best. They storage it near the computer and only use it for this purpose.
Option 2 – I prefer to keep my information stored as part of an Excel spreadsheet that I have discreetly store somewhere on my computer. I also every few months or so print it out and store it in the filing cabinet. Important information deserves a hard copy back-up in my opinion.
Option 3 – Some heavy computer users prefer a password secure software application such as RoboForm, Splash ID or Password Agent. Again, if this is your preferred route, be aware that most of these sites have an ongoing cost but for some that works!
So take 15 minutes and consolidate your passwords, logins and domains today. Save yourself the time and energy from digging around for 20 minutes in the future.
