Unclutter Your Life and Business by Going Inside the Car…

Posted on 06. Jul, 2010 by Samantha Gardner in Organizational Skills, Outside, Unclutter Your Life, Week 4

The Unclutter Your Life Challenge today is all about uncluttering the inside of the car.  During the summer, many of us take more trips and the interior of the car (mini-van in my case) seems to become a dumping place.   If you have kids, you know this is can be a constant issue.

Grab a trash bag and let’s go get your vehicle in shape.

Step 1: Throw out all the Trash.

Step 2: Bring into the house or garage all of the things you don’t need to have in the car.  No point in wasting gas or the space.

Step 3: Make sure you have these items in the car:

  • Your current insurance and registration information in the glove box.  I prefer to keep it in a Ziploc bag.
  • Some basic Emergency supplies including First Aid Kit, Jumper Cables, Flashlight with extra batteries, can of Fix-a-Flat and multipurpose tool such as a Swiss army knife.
  • If you have kids – have a complete set of a change of clothes for each kid in a Ziploc bag.  You know that can come in handy.

Safe driving to you all this summer and thanks for joining in the Unclutter Your Life and Business Summer Challenge again!

Samantha

P.S.  Vacuum out the car next time you go to the gas station.
